My Wow Moment

I haven’t really had a Wow moment this semester. I didn’t learn anything about the internet/working with computers that I didn’t already know, but I guess if I had to pick something that came close, it would be how impressed I was with the Thinglink and Wordle websites. They were very user-friendly and contained great, aesthetically appealing resources for free, and with little work-time involved. I liked being able to make my own pictures based on things that I wanted to see, and the pictures came out quite nicely.

As a music educator, I know that I’ll be using technology in the classroom. Whether it’s a metronome, an online tuner/warmup, or another music-based tool, I know that it’ll be a pivotal part of my education. The most interesting music-based technology thing to me right now is a gamechanging instrument called the Eigenharp. I’ve included a link to a video of a demonstration; there is almost no limit to the extent at which this instrument can be useful and I hope to see more like it in the future.
